If you really need serial, you can use only TX, using Serial.begin(115200, SERIAL_8N1, SERIAL_TX_ONLY);. The only thing that needs to be added is a pull-up resistor (I have tested with 1k). Now on the oscilloscope the signal is perfect, without flickering in the time range 0 – 150ms (after that setup() will set it according to the user’s needs).
