Hi.
Yes, you are right.
In fact, we also bought one of those at the beginning – you can see one of those in the post thumbnail.
We though we were buying a true RGB LED strip, but instead we get one with a red, blue and green LEDs separately.
Thanks for sharing that valuable information with us.

But for completeness may I add a warning to this article. There are “RGB led strips” offerings at let’s say Banggood but if you look really carefully these are separate alternating color chips on a strip, i.e. a red chip, a blue chip, a green chip, red, green, blue, … etc.
As an example Banggood productID 1083196.
https://www.banggood.com/5M-SMD-3528-300-Waterproof-LED-RGB-Strip-Flexible-Light-24-key-IR-remote-Power-Adapter-DC12V-p-1083196.html?rmmds=buy&cur_warehouse=CN
If you look at the pictures you can see there are separate R, G, B leds!
What you would expect is R, G, B leds in one chip according to the description!
In my opinion in this case (and more products) Banggood is not supplying their customers with the full story, or misleading information!
