As TTL Rx is not working, I followed Jasper advice to fix it and I wanted to share the solution, all details are on the photo below

(Sorry if this is a double post, I wanted to edit my first comment but I failed)
Thanks

Hi.
It means the RST pin is not tied to any particular GPIO.
The RST is made via Software.

Sara

In the table for the TFT Display pins connections, what -1 means for the RST (TFT_Reset)?
Thank you

I noticed this too. So weird. Looks like a major design fault to me… Anyway… To use uart1 or 2 just use the other two connectors and define the uart pins for their pins. Be aware that you cannot use IO21 cuz its tied to the backlight, Although this can be changed. See my other post here

No, you cannot define another pin. What I did is scratch the PCB trace from the backlight FET to the processor. Te keep the backlight on, I soldered a wire from the FET to 3.3V regulator. Now you can use IO21.

I can confirm as well. I have 3 different models of CYD and I was able to talk to a GPS through the TX/RX connector on all 3. On one of my boards I had to swap TX and RX for some reason, but the GPS worked on all of them using IO 1 and 3.

Sparkfun has a board called the MicroSD sniffer that plugs into the MicroSD slot and breaks out all the pins, while still allowing you to use the slot.

Hi.
Even though your board is different than the one we’re using, it will probably work with many of our examples.
Have you tried it?

Sara

It does not have the same outputs main difference is RGB is in middle of board.
